Thank you for taking the time to look through our website. Here at The Grange we are here to ensure the children are in a safe environment and that they receive the highest level of care.
All of our practitioners are CRB checked and have undertaken a thorough induction and reference checks. At the beginning of the day, our staff are asked to sign their mobile phone into the office, where they are stored until the end of the day.
We also have a CCTV system which allows us to monitor all areas of the nursery. You will be shown our safeguarding policy during your child’s settling in session. Our CCTV is not connected to the internet in any way.
OUR UNIFORM
We do have T-Shirts and Polo Shirts available to purchase as we strongly advise that you do not send your child to nursery in their best clothing.
OUR UNIFORM
Please make sure your child’s name is clearly written on all items of clothing.
We have many policies that give each child the best possible start in life.
They are available for all parents and carers to see at any time.
They all comply with the purpose and aims of the EYFS which is given legal force through order and regulations made under the Childcare Act 2006.
OUR POLICIES
Q) Do you charge a registration and deposit?
No we don't.
All we ask is that once you are offered a nursery place, you pay £100 to us, which will be deducted from your first months fees.
Q) Can my child attend term time only?
We offer limited term time only places for children aged 2 and over.
We do not offer term time only places within our baby room due to the high demand and limited spaces.
Q) When will I know if my child will be offered a nursery place?
We will notify you 8 weeks prior to your start date to confirm whether or not we have the availability.
Our waiting list is limited to 3 children at any one time. If we are not able to offer you a nursery place, we will assist you to find alternative childcare.
The nursery is divided into 3 play rooms depending on the age of your child:
• 0-2 Years - Maximum of 9 children - 1 practitioner for every 3 children present
• 2-3 Years - Maximum of 22 children - 1 practitioner for every 4 children present
• 3-5 Years - Maximum of 16 children - 1 practitioner for every 8 children present (graduate led = 1 practitioner per 13 children)
Every child will be appointed a key person on entry.
We allocate a key person based on which practitioner each child bonds with.
Your child's key person will speak with you on a daily basis, and answer any questions you may have.
They will also share information on your child's development.
We work in close partnership with parents to ensure the best outcomes for each individual child
